Winery activity started in 1959 years in when a group of winegrowers in the area came together to form the first cooperative wine Elaboradora Montilla-Moriles zone, the Cooperative Wine Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores.
In the early years of the decade of the 70s of the last century and coinciding with strong industrial development and the arrival of new technologies to the world of winemaking, they leave most of the wineries located in the field and create Jan l large industrial urban center.
The Cooperative Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores was no exception and merges with the Cooperativa Nuestra Señora de la Aurora, located near the town of Montilla.
In 1985 it acquired its present owners and following the family tradition of winemaking. Its owner is Miguel Cruz Marqués, Agronomist, Winemaker and expert taster with a lifetime dedicated to the wine world.
Throughout all these years we have been improving the buildings and machinery available.
In 1990 the business expanded with the addition of 170 American oak barrels for aging of wines produced.
In 1995 the plant installed packaging.
In 2008 a major refurbishment was undertaken architectural technology
Finally in 2010 they replaced the entire line of winemaking equipped with the latest technology to respond to the highest quality requirements possible.
It has a reception line and grape sorting boxes of 25 Hl pneumatic press stainless steel, stainless steel tanks for the production and control of concrete fermentation and storage vats of wine.
This reform is also aimed to develop wine tourism activity, with the possibility of wine tastings, courses on the production and aging of our wines as well as celebrations, meetings, business lunches etc...
Using the facilities and our expertise of its own, we are eager to pass on the love of the land and its wines.
